A Breif History of My-Local-Escorts

As many of you may know, My-Local-Escorts was one of the original escort directories, established over 16 years ago.
We grew fast though hard work, good morals and putting building a good and useful website before money!

15 years later... The site had grown to be one of the UK's largest escort directories.
HOWEVER, towards the end of the past 15 years, the website had lost most of its original traffic. This was ultimately my fault for neglecting the website + as it affected us all, COVID 19 was not kind to our industry.
To combat this "COVID situation", we quickly switched to a business model of "advertising placements". This allowed us to make all escort profile totally free.
As many of you know, any Featured Promotions which were previously being paid for, we cancelled the payments, but tried to help by keeping all Featured Promotions and profiles live!
We did this as we wanted to help you, as you had helped us over the 16 past years! TAHNK YOU!



This Sites Future

  • Last year we decided to stop neglecting this website, so i made it my full time job to get this website back to where it was and beyond.
  • As the industry has changed over the past 16 years, i can no longer run this site as a 1 person business, so we are now using several, carefully selected 3rd party companies to assist us in some areas.
  • We are not yet the UK's top directory, but we are once again firmly within the top 10. Our hard work is paying off and the sites visitors continue to grow.
  • We currently take around 1 million page views per month and this is increasing each month.


Areas

This is probably one of our largest changes from your point of view.

  • When we started this site, we allowed all escort profiles to list in as many areas as they covered, wehre as most sites did and still do only allow listing in 1 area
  • Unfortunatly, some abused this by listing in areas they could never OR added more areas for more viability (understantable)
  • We has changed the unlimited amount to 5 cities (or bouroghs of London) and no counties only.
    When you next update your profile, if you list in more ares than 5 cities (or any counties), you will be required to lower your area count.
  • We may tweak this "5 city policy/bouroghs" only, as we need to keep you happy, but also the customer that use the sute.
    (many customers have expresed disatisfaction that ladies list in areas they do not cover. This results in customers using other site, which helps none of us!).


Updates & Improvements

  • Breifly and as you have seen, we have made many updates and improvements to the front end user part of this site.
  • Most of these changes are so the users (your customer) can better use the site and better find the perfect escort for them.
  • One of the largest changes we JUST have made, is the way the search works and how profiles are listed (in what order).
  • We used to have only 2 types of Featured Profiles (and paid escort and agency profiles, which are all now free and without any restrictions). We have changed this to be more useful to you and your potential customers.
    If you look in your new Profile Promotions section, you can see we now have Bronze, Silver, Gold & VIP promotion options.
  • These new promotion options can be selected by the areas you would like the promotions in. We also believe we have made these promotions very low cost, and much less than our competitors.
  • Do not worry, we have not done this to make as much money as we can, although of course it would be nice for us to actually make a profit.
  • We have added what we think is an industry first! it is called Cost Advisor.
    I has taken many hours, (in fact months), to program this.
    What it basically does is search our database, calculate how many others are advertising in that area, then it advises you on the lowest cost promotions required to achieve your goals or more visibility!


Bumping / Updating Profiles for Better Positions

  • This is important! Many of you use "updating your profile" to increase the search positions. THIS WILL NO LONGER WORK!
  • However DO NOT WORRY, we have renamed this practice "bumping", AND IT IS STILL FREE TO DO EVERYDAY!
  • You can bump your profile FREE, towards the bottom of the new Profile Promotions section.
  • In addition to FREE and daily bumping, we have added in "Automatic Bumping". This allows you to set up Auto Bumping, so you now no longer need to login everyday to do this!
    You can not have your profile bumped up the search results, everyday, 2 times a day, 4 times a day, etc, right up to every 15 minutes. The cost of this can be less than 0.01p per bump!
    We hope this will save your valuable time, and of course make us a little money, by us doing this for you!
